100% of proceeds from 100 X STRUT goes to two local non-profit causes: 50% to *scape, and 50% to the Dove Self Esteem Fund.
*scape
*scape is a non-profit youth organization that runs the *scape Youth Park, *scape Youth Centre and *scape Skate Park at Somerset Road in the heart of town. Creative programmes are the heartbeat of *scape, and its venues are designed to incubate and showcase the talents of young people across genres like music, visual arts, dance, film, theatre, urban sports, entrepreneurship and many more. 100 X STRUT is a signature *scape event!
Come 2010, *scape is proud to bring Singaporean youth a 1.2ha new building that encompasses a myriad of youth interests. Your support will go a long way in bringing youth talents to the fore and developing young people multi-dimensionally beyond the books.
Dove Self Esteem Fund
This campaign is committed to making real change in the way women and young girls perceive and embrace beauty. Dove wants to help free ourselves and the next generation from beauty stereotypes, as too many girls develop low self-esteem from hang-ups about looks. Consequently, many fail to reach their full potential later in life.
To make change possible, the Dove Self-Esteem Fund focuses its efforts to foster positive image-related self-esteem in two areas of activity:
1) The Fund develops and distributes resources that enable and empower women and girls to embrace a broad definition of beauty
2) The Fund provides needed resources to organizations that foster a broader definition of beauty.
SingHealth Foundation manages and administers the Dove Self Esteem Fund (DSEF). Money raised through the Fund will go towards conducting BodyTalk workshops as well as fund the Eating Disorder Awareness Programmes at Singapore General Hospital.
